I recently performed the awesome Brazilian Blowout service on Kimberli. She loved it! Every person I have performed it on so far has said, “This is the hair I’ve always wanted.” The great thing is that if someone wants to keep their curl, Juvexin comes in 3 formulas, 1 to keep the curl, 1 to loosen the curl mildly, and 1 to straighten the hair.

Well today was an exciting day!.. for myself and a friend and new client of one of my regulars, Angela.
Angela brought her friend Emma with her for her first time today. Little did Angela know that Emma and I would be in agreement on giving her an awesome new look. I do have to add, that Angela said those magic words every stylist love to hear, “Do what ever you wanna create.”
It was exciting, if a little dramatic for Angela, but with a little adjustment of her makeup, some knee high boots and skinny jeans, I think she will be getting some great responses from people who see her! Who’s not going to notice her bright eyes, and her beautiful slender neck, now?
We started with her mostly virgin natural light brown hair. I applied her base color and highlights and lowlights all at the same time, with an aveda color and foil application method. Her base color was a deep vibrant mahogany red brown, her lowlights were a very deep dark brown, with some light golden blonde highlights, piggybacked onto every other woven strand of the lowlight. This allows more variation in color to be applied closer together.

I have a request I need to make. Due to current economic conditions, I would like to request payment by check or cash, instead of credit or debit cards, when convenient for you. This will help me avoid, what have become, significant credit processing fees. According to the agreement businesses sign with the processing banks, we agree not to charge clients extra to make up for this fee, and I intend to continue to respect that policy. Payment by credit and debit cards will still be accepted.
This is Lorikay, an awesome photographer at Studioplex(although, she taught me how to take the shots of her in her studio on Saturday…Fun!!)
She was my model last Saturday. We used Joico Kpak Age Defy color on her roots, 6ng+ and 20 vol, and put a streak in front, toned with 1/2 8g + 1/2 9g +10 vol, to go with the hilites we have done previously
A classic Vidal Sasoon, seriously graduated in the front and layered throughout, then texturized to even out consistency of her thickness, for manageable styling.
Doesn’t she look awesome!
Just a reminder, I will be working the Monday thru Wednesday before Thanksgiving, to get everyone in before the Holiday. Then off to Dothan, Alabama, to be with the family for the holiday weekend.
Saturday Makeover: Ayesha and I had a lot of fun. We gave her a dramatically shorter cut with a very prominent bang. Black low lights with a deep reddish brown base color. Thank you Ayesha!

On Lorikay I decided to spice up her look with a little touch of red in her highlights.
I did a partial foil using lifting powder, while at the same time using a level 5 1/2 natural gold on her regrowth to cover her unpigmented hair and lighten her base a little from the previous base color she has used. After processing for 20-30 minutes I dried her hair and toned her highlights alternating colors of a level 9 gold and a level 7 copper gold.
The cut was a long layered haircut with plenty of slide cutting and texturizing action for plenty of movement. Then off she went to Paris and for a cool trip.
Can’t wait to hear all about that!

Wanted to share pics of the most recent color model.
Mike was fun to work with. He is a bartender at Serpas(great food-I just ate there Saturday night and had the biggest T-bone ever in Atlanta), also located in Studioplex and volunteered to make a dramatic change in the color.
I used Joico Verolift Lightening Powder to lift the previous brown and reds out of his hair. There were some fun coppery pieces still left in the hair, so after toning with a 9 ash, it all worked together for a cool look!
I will give a heads up when I’m able to do the next model and see if you or your friends would like to submit a pic and see about participating(most likely the weekend after the Labor Day Holiday).
Well, I had a lot of fun with my beautiful Model Naveen this last Saturday. I do her and alot of her family and friends hair and enjoy it alot. They all have lots of thick dark long hair to work with.
I performed a classic Vidal Sassoon cut on Naveen. I use a dark brown for her base color using Joico’s Verocolor System(Vero means ‘true’ in Italian, ergo True color). I highlighted her using Veroultra oneprocess ultra lifting powders in bright red and butterscotch. I prelightened and toned her nape a light blonde for an extra edge to the look.
As you can see from the images it was an awesome look when we were done.
